Neuhofen Baptist Church

Who we are

Our church belongs to the Protestant-Freikirchlicher community, an amalgamation of more than 930 churches and communities with more than 87,000 members in the alliance.

We are an evangelical church

and we want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everybody through words and actions. Our beliefs are based on the Bible as the guide for our life.

We are a free church

because we emphasise the free personal decision of each individual to believe and because we are independent as a community from the state and other institutions. We raise no church tax and finance our work through contributions and members gifts. Membership, cooperation and financial support are all voluntary. The idea behind this is that belief in God is not connected to religious compulsion.

We form a community

because we cannot live alone as Christians, but rather are dependent on each other. Through conversations together and hearing God's word, by praying together and mutual interest and help, we encourage each other to live as Christians in everyday life.

We belong to a group of communities

in which only people who have been baptised and openly professed faith in Jesus Christ can belong. Through the membership in the alliance, we commit ourselves beyond our own community. The alliance encompasses international mission work, the European Baptist mission, as well as numerous social projects such as hospitals, nursing homes, information centers and kindergartens.
